This dataset summarizes global population and GDP scenarios in 0.5 × 0.5 degree grids by country between 1980 and 2100 by 10 years. The data in 1980–2010 are estimated by downscaling actual populations and GDPs by country, while those in 2020–2100 are estimated by downscaling projected populations and GDPs under three shared socioeconomic pathways (SSP): SSP1; SSP2; and SSP3, by country (source: SSP database version 1: https://secure.iiasa.ac.at/web-apps/ene/SspDb/dsd?Action=htmlpage&page=about). The spatial coordinates of the grids are given by the World Geodetic System WGS84. For further detail about this dataset, see Data description (PDF, 71 KB).
